• The SLP is responsible for the assessment of referred patients requiring treatment for speech, hearing, or language deficits.
• Teach patients how to produce sounds, improve voice, and develop oral or written language skills to communicate more effectively.
• Teach individuals how to strengthen swallowing muscles or use compensatory strategies to swallow without choking.
• Provide skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Assess patient needs, plan for, evaluate and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Set realistic and achievable goals for patients to develop or recover reliable communication and swallowing skills to fulfill educational, vocational and social roles.

• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist/SLP or in the process of obtaining licensure.
• At least one year of professional working experience.
• Master's degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Current CPR certification.
• Must have CCC’s.
• Other requirements as determined by the client facility.
