Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery night-shift position in a Level 1 Trauma setting, requiring Illinois RN license and Epic EMR experience.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit,

• Night shift position, 7:00PM to 7:30AM, three 12-hour shifts per week,

• Level 1 Trauma environment,

• Care for obstetric patients, including labor, surgical delivery, and newborn care,

• Requires experience with Epic electronic medical record system,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license or temporary license in good standing,

• Minimum of one year recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience,

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association,

• Associate degree in Nursing required,

• Level 1 Trauma experience required and must be clearly documented,

• Epic charting experience required,

• English proficiency (speak, read, write),

• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility; locals not accepted,

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive care for obstetric patients including monitoring fetal well-being, administering medications, and participating in surgical deliveries,

• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately using Epic,

• Perform initial assessments and develop, implement, and modify care plans as needed,

• Educate patients and families regarding care and procedures,

• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team,

• Maximum of 7 days RTO allowed per 13-week contract,

• No travel partners accepted,

• Candidates may not be on assignment with this health system for more than one year consecutively; 6-month break required before returning,
