Travel Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for acute care with NICU/PEDS inpatient experience and EPIC charting proficiency.

Job Details

• Work in an acute care therapy department with a focus on inpatient NICU and pediatric patients,

• Day shift: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday; specific hours to be determined,

• EPIC is the electronic medical record used and experience is required,

• Level 1 trauma environment,

• No floating or weekend assignment noted,

Job Requirements

• Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license required if applicable,

• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required,

• At least one year of relevant physical therapy experience in an acute care setting,

• Experience in inpatient NICU and pediatric care required,

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required,

• Proficiency in EPIC charting required,

• Ability to speak, read, and write English,

Additional Information

• Position conducts patient evaluations, designs and implements care plans, and supervises support personnel per regulatory guidelines,

• Responsible for patient/family education as well as documentation in compliance with clinical and organizational standards,

• May supervise PTAs and rehabilitation technicians,

• Role involves regular collaboration with the medical team regarding patient status and discharge planning,

• RTO (requested time off) must not exceed 7 days during a 13-week contract,

• Not open to local candidates within a 50-mile radius,

• Travel partners are not accepted for this assignment,

• Returning travelers may not remain on assignment at this facility for more than 1 year consecutively and require a 6-month break before returning,

• Scrubs or professional attire may be required in accordance with department policy,
