Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Advanced Care/EMU unit position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience, working night shifts in Illinois.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Advanced Care and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) setting,

• Works with a critical care team for Advanced Care patients and with hospitalists as needed,

• EMU patients require continuous 24/7 monitoring for seizure activity,

• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hrs/week),

• Epic EMR - experience required,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted),

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association),

• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience,

• Level 1 Trauma center experience required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• ASN required; BSN preferred,

• English proficiency (speak, read, write),

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include completing admission assessments, developing and updating individualized plans of care, and implementing nursing interventions,

• Documents nursing care accurately to support continuity across the healthcare team,

• Engages patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboard communication,

• Candidates who have been on continuous assignment at any Carle Health location for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning,

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract,
