Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a float pool (CIA) Med/Surg position at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Illinois, requiring Epic EMR experience and an IL RN license.

Job Details

• Day shift, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week),

• Float pool role with rotation across inpatient units including Med/Surg, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU (if applicable),

• Level 1 Trauma hospital setting,

• Epic EMR used; experience required,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association),

• Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience,

• Level 1 Trauma experience required,

• Epic EMR charting experience required,

• Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred,

• English proficiency required (speak, read, write),

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

Additional Information

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and implements individualized plans of care, and continuously modifies care based on patient response,

• Collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations to coordinate and deliver high-quality care,

• Precepts staff from various units as needed and participates in Unit Nurse Leader Training as required,

• Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the healthcare team,

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract,

• Travelers who have been on assignment at Carle Health for 1 year continuously must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location,
