Overview
Carle Health is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider to join our busy, Level 1 Trauma Center Emergency Department at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Opportunity Details- Variable/rotating schedule: 12‑hour shifts, 13‑14 shifts required per 4‑week block. Schedule rotates monthly, including days, evenings, and overnights. 3 holidays per year (one being Christmas or Thanksgiving) / 4 weekend shifts per 4‑week block.
- APP friendly group including over 15 APPs, 45 EM physicians and on‑site ED pharmacists and ED social workers. No EM residency program.
- Evaluate and treat patients with ESI 1‑5.
- Level 1 Trauma Center with an average of 200‑300 patients per day, over 92,000 visits per year.
- 24‑hour in‑house coverage provided by anesthesiology, hospitalists, OB/GYN, intensivists, pediatric hospitalists, PICU, and trauma surgery.

- Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.
- 1‑2 years of APP experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse licensure or Physician Assistant licensure.

The compensation range for this position is $63.72 – $82.84 per hour. This represents a good‑faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model.
