Position: Speech Language Pathologist [81307]

We’re currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a school-based position in Cook County, IL.

This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about supporting students’ communication, language, and social-emotional development to help them succeed academically and socially.

Location:

Cook County, IL (in-person)

Schedule:

Full-time, Monday–Friday

Start Date:

February 2026

Responsibilities:
  • Provide school-based speech-language services in alignment with students’ IEP goals.
  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans addressing speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments.
  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions targeting speech, language, and social communication skills.
  • Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to ensure comprehensive student support.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) endorsement.
  • Experience providing school-based speech-language services, preferably in middle school settings.
  • Strong knowledge of language development, speech disorders, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to fostering students’ communication skills, confidence, and academic success.
