Technical Support, Systems Analyst
Overview
The LIS Analyst participates in the evaluation, design, implementation, QA, documentation, maintenance, and support of the Laboratory department's web/client server software applications and various Carle enterprise-wide systems. Serves as a liaison between vendors, IT personnel, and other application analysts, management and end users to resolve questions related to system functionality and design. Develops standard and customized application reports. Performs team and integrated testing for all functionality of applications and their interfaces.
Functions as a resource for users in the development of time‑saving processes or new features.
- Education:
Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Related Field. - Certifications:
(none specified). - Effective communication skills with internal and external customers, ability to function well in stressful situations, ability to function well as part of a team, and the ability to resolve routine to complex problems by following departmental procedures.
- Participate in the build, installation, implementation, testing, validation, monitoring, and maintenance of application software/interfaces.
- Apply and maintain standards/regulatory requirements (including but not limited to CLIA, CAP, DNV, CMS) to system design.
- Make recommendations that are in line with and support best practices.
- Act as a resource and mentor to others.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and remedy system software/hardware problems.
- Coordinate problem resolution with internal and external technical support personnel.
- Assist both internal and external customers in finding solutions to their needs related to the LIS, instrumentation, and interfacing with enterprise‑wide applications.
- Recommend process/procedural changes based on application functionality.
- Coordinate with key user representatives to develop project task plans, timelines, and schedules.

The compensation range for this position is $33.62 per hour - $57.83 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
