Job Description

Accountable for new and existing equipment and lead continuous improvement activities in the location targeted at cost reduction, productivity and process optimization, and/or quality performance achievement. Evaluate process improvement opportunities, define process metrics, develop improvement plans, and lead improvement events.
- Define and establish new business and new products in existing business production processes and targeted production rates and capacities.
- Conduct studies to improve production rates and capacities.
- Recommend revision of methods in operations, alterations in equipment layout, or other changes to improve productivity.
- Develop layouts for efficient flow and effective production.
- Champion and lead continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and 5S initiatives.
- Recommend, manage, and conduct cost-improvement initiatives.
- Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization.
- Conduct regularly scheduled reviews of KPIs and gap analyses.
- Establish and drive the ongoing tracking of CI metrics.
- Train others in new processes and lean methodologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 4 year / Bachelors Degree - Manufacturing/Industrial/Process Engineering or equivalent.
- 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Microsoft Office experience is required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
