Day in the life
You arrive for second shift and step into a clean, refrigerated production floor where reliability matters. You scan the maintenance log, prioritize a packaging line tune-up, and pull up schematics to isolate a 480V fault. A quick component swap, parameter tweak on a VFD, and that slicer is humming again. Before the shift ends, you complete PMs on conveyors and coolers, document your work, and collaborate with production to schedule a weekend install.

What you’ll handle
- Read and interpret electrical schematics/diagrams and apply them on the floor
- Troubleshoot, repair, and replace electrical systems down to component level
- Perform mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance on food processing equipment
- Install, maintain, and repair motors, conveyors, coolers, and auxiliary systems
- Disassemble and reassemble slicing and packaging machinery
- Assist with equipment installation and moves
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on equipment and maintenance activity
- Champion safety and GMP standards in all maintenance operations
Environment Refrigerated, high-throughput food production facility on the 2nd shift maintenance team.
Must-haves
- 3 years of industrial maintenance in manufacturing
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
- Comfort working in a cold food production setting
- Willing to work occasional Saturdays as needed
- Successful completion of a skills assessment during the interview process
Nice to have
- PLC troubleshooting or basic programming
- Experience with food manufacturing, packaging, or processing machinery
- Exposure to ammonia refrigeration systems or industrial utilities
