Quality Control Inspector

Helander Metal Spinning Company is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector / CMM Programmer to join our Quality team. This is not a desk‑only programming role. We are specifically looking for experienced CMM programmers who are equally comfortable on the manufacturing floor performing hands‑on inspection. This role requires ownership of inspection strategy and execution — from programming complex CMM routines to performing in‑process and final inspections on precision aerospace components.

• Develop and program CMM inspection routines for complex machined components
• Perform hands‑on dimensional inspection using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and CMM equipment
• Interpret complex engineering drawings and advanced GD&T
• Support First Article Inspections (AS9102) and new product introduction
• Conduct in‑process, final, and first‑article inspections
• Identify nonconformances and support root cause and corrective action efforts
• Mentor and support other inspectors
• Help drive inspection strategy and continuous improvement

• Strong CMM programming experience (not just operation)
• Deep understanding of GD&T and complex print interpretation
• Experience inspecting precision machined components (aerospace preferred)
• Experience with AS9100 or ISO‑based quality systems
• Ability and willingness to work on the shop floor in a production environment
• Strong documentation and data validation skills

This is a hands‑on inspection leadership role — not a Quality Engineer position and not an office‑only programming role.

$52.00 – $60.00 per hour
