Skilled Laborer

Local recycling company is looking for skilled bilingual individuals to work as an auto dismantler at their yard in Crawfordsville, IN.

This Auto Dismantler will work Mon-Fri 6:30 am - 3:30 pm. with possible overtime on the weekends. Pay rate is $18/hour.

Job duties will include:

• Remove fluids from vehicles for recycling.
• Remove parts from vehicle for recycling.
• Maintain organization in the yard and capture upgrades.
• Safely operate front end loader and forklift.
• Operate pneumatic tire machine and process used tires for resale.
• Complies with established company policies and procedures.
• Perform materials handling tasks such as loading and unloading trucks, moving products within the yard and organizing inventory.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to OSHA regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance or repair needs.
• Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including verifying incoming shipments and preparing outgoing orders.
• Assume other duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
• Proficiency in materials handling techniques and knowledge of operations.
• Ability to operate forklifts, and other relevant machinery.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately record information and maintain inventory records.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and follow instructions.
