Overview
Summary of Position We are seeking a dedicated Exhibits/Sponsorship Manager to join our organization and serve as a key driver in securing financial resources through grants, fundraising initiatives, and donor cultivation. This position requires an individual who is passionate about our mission, comfortable building relationships with diverse stakeholders, and skilled in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities that align with our medical non-profit clients’ goals.
This role plays an integral part in ensuring the financial sustainability of our clients’ programs and services by developing comprehensive funding strategies and maintaining strong partnerships with pharma and medical device companies.
Core Responsibilities- Research and identify potential funding sources.
- Write, develop, and submit compelling grant proposals and funding applications
- Manage post-award grant administration including reporting and compliance requirements
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies to meet annual revenue goals
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners
- Maintain and update customer relationship management (CRM) system with donor information, interaction history, giving records and communication preferences to ensure accurate tracking and effective stewardship.
- Prepare detailed reports on fundraising progress, grant awards, and donor activity for leadership and board review
- Collaborate with program staff to gather information needed for proposals and reports
- Monitor funding trends and opportunities in the nonprofit medical association sector to inform strategic planning
- Support board development and engagement in fundraising activities
- Experience in nonprofit medical association sector, grant writing, or fundraising is strongly preferred
- Demonstrates exceptional written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and evaluate program outcomes
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management
- Ability to tell compelling stories that connect client mission to funder interests
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing funding landscapes
- Professional networking capabilities and comfort with public speaking
- Commitment to organizational mission and values with highest standards of integrity
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in communications, communications, business, or related field preferred
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit administration
- Demonstrated success in securing grants or managing fundraising campaigns
- Experience with donor database management and reporting systems preferred
