American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring Level 3-4 NICU experience and Epic proficiency, working night shifts at a hospital in Illinois.

• Work in NICU setting within an acute care hospital environment.
• Care for neonatal patient population including high-acuity Level 3-4 NICU cases.
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week (three 12-hour shifts).
• Use Epic EMR - experience required.
• Complete patient admissions assessments, develop and adjust individualized plans of care, and monitor intake and output for neonatal patients.
• Administer medications using barcode scanning and participate in multidisciplinary rounds.
• Support breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices.
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (local candidates not eligible).
• RTO limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract.
• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning after the 1-year mark.

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted).
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Current NRP certification (American Heart Association).
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 3-5 years of NICU experience strongly preferred.
• Level 3-4 NICU experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN) required; BSN preferred.
• English proficiency (speaking, reading, and writing).
