Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Epic experience, Level 1 Trauma background, and an active IL RN license.
Responsibilities- Hospital Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule: 5:00 PM – 5:30 AM, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
- 2 on-call shifts required per 6-week schedule period; call shifts are 13 hours in length
- When on call, must be able to arrive onsite within 1 hour
- Epic EMR experience required
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
- Continuously evaluates and modifies care plans based on patient progress and clinical findings
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support coordinated care across the healthcare team
- Upholds patient and staff safety standards through appropriate nursing interventions and timely reporting of hazards
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any facility within the system
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 3 years of ED nursing experience
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
