Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Inpatient Overflow unit position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience, working night shifts in Illinois.
Responsibilities- Inpatient overflow Med/Surg unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week over three 12-hour shifts
- Epic EMR experience required
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and modifies individualized care plans, and documents nursing care to support the healthcare team
- Administers medications following the five rights and maintains vigilance around fall precautions, pressure ulcer prevention, isolation precautions, and patient ambulation safety
- Delegates appropriate tasks to HCTs and validates completion throughout the shift
- Participates in bedside shift report and maintains updated patient communication boards
- Candidates who have been on continuous assignment with this health system for 1 year must take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
- RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- English proficiency required (speak, read, write)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
