American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Vascular Interventional Radiology position requiring a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, Epic proficiency, and an active IL RN license.

Job Details

• Position is based in a Vascular Interventional Radiology department within a Level 1 Trauma hospital,

• Provides 1:1 direct care to adult patients undergoing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures,

• Procedures include peripheral vascular work, venous central lines, tube changes, embolization (arterial/venous), and venous thrombectomy; neuro experience is ideal,

• Works as part of a small, collaborative team of 3-4 staff comprised of RNs and Radiology Technologists,

• Day shift schedule: 7:30 AM-5:00 PM, 4 days per week, 36 hours per week,

• Epic EMR experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temporary license accepted,

• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all through American Heart Association),

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Level 1 Trauma experience required,

• Associate's degree (ASN) required; BSN preferred,

• Experience with moderate sedation administration and hemodynamic monitoring required,

Additional Information

• Administers moderate sedation and other procedure-related medications per facility policy,

• Performs hemodynamic monitoring, identifies life-threatening arrhythmias, and implements appropriate clinical interventions,

• Completes patient assessments, develops and modifies plans of care, and maintains accurate documentation throughout the care continuum,

• Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team and communicates with patients and families to provide education and emotional support,

• Participates in department quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,

• RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract,

• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at this health system for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any location within the system,
