Travel RN - GI​/Endoscopy

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with float responsibilities between two outpatient digestive health locations.

Job Details

• Outpatient endoscopy center setting with float requirement between Champaign Endoscopy Center and Digestive Health Department,

• Patients undergoing routine GI procedures including colonoscopy and upper endoscopy,

• Nurses rotate through prep, intra-procedure, and Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery,

• Four 9-hour day shifts per week with rotating start times typically between 0630 and 0800,

• 36 hours per week,

• No weekend or holiday shifts required,

• Epic EMR experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing required; temp license accepted,

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association) required,

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience required,

• ASN required; BSN preferred,

• Epic EMR charting experience required,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include patient assessment, IV placement, patient education, moderate sedation administration under physician direction, and assisting CRNAs during anesthesia cases,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible,

• RTO is not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract,

• Contingent workers may not remain on continuous assignment at Carle Health for more than 1 year; a 6-month break in service is required before returning to any Carle Health location
