Travel RN - Med​/Surg - Cardiology

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg position in Urbana, IL, requiring a minimum of one year of nursing experience and Epic EMR proficiency.

Job Details

• Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit in a Level 1 Trauma hospital setting,

• Cares for post-operative CVMS patients including post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients,

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM,

• 36 hours per week,

• Approximately 5-6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule,

• Holidays covered on a department rotation basis,

• No floating requirements,

• Epic EMR experience required,

Job Requirements

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temp license accepted),

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association),

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant RN experience,

• Epic EMR experience required,

• Level 1 Trauma experience required,

• ASN required; BSN preferred,

Additional Information

• Provides direct care to post-operative cardiovascular patients including CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery cases,

• Responsibilities include hourly rounding, patient assessment, care planning, nursing interventions, and safety reporting,

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible - local candidates are not accepted,

• RTO is limited to no more than 7 total days per 13-week contract,

• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than one continuous year at this health system; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
