Travel Orthopedic Inpatient RN

Position Summary

Travel Orthopedic Registered Nurse (RN) – Temporary assignment in Urbana, IL.

Contract:

13 weeks | 36 hours per week (12‑hour shifts, 3 shifts per day) |

Employment Type:

Travel.

• Assist physicians in the care of musculoskeletal problems.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs.
• Treat injuries with wound dressings or castings.
• Place patients on a pain management schedule.
• Administer pain medications and monitor for reactions and allergies.
• Educate patients on postoperative recovery and home care.
• Help improve patient strength and mobility following orthopedic interventions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• AHA Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.
• BSN from an accredited nursing program and valid RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in orthopedics or acute care.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, and families.
• Strong knowledge of procedures, patient safety, and critical thinking in emergency situations.
• Motivated to pursue career growth and travel opportunities.
