Job Description
Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED – Emergency Department for a travel nursing position in Urbana, Illinois. Duration: 13 weeks. 36 hours per week, 12‑hour shifts (evenings and nights).
Employment type:
Travel.
- Assume responsibility for a patient group during a designated time frame and provide care using the nursing process.
- Perform all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
- Implement procedures and theories related to ED nursing.
- Complete initial assessment upon patient admission and develop an appropriate plan of care.
- Implement plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures, modifying them based on continuous evaluation.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation to support integration of information for the health‑care team.
- Ensure patient and staff safety; report and correct safety hazards and incidents.
- Communicate with team, visitors, and families to promote a healthy and healing work environment.
- Offer constructive feedback and assistance for professional development of peers.
- Identify own learning needs and initiate appropriate solutions.
- Fulfill all departmental competencies.
- Minimum 3 years of nursing experience.
- Illinois State RN license in good standing.
- Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA).
- Education:
ASN required; BSN preferred. - Preferred skills:
None listed.
