Overview
Carle Health is seeking an additional Advanced Practice Provider to join our Neurovascular team in Urbana, Illinois.
Opportunity DetailsCarle Health is a Comprehensive Stroke Center providing a full spectrum of neurovascular care. We have over 800 stroke admissions per year. The Neurovascular program at Carle consists of three physicians who are actively involved in neurointerventional procedures for aneurysms, stroke, AVMs, carotid disease, etc. We welcome candidates to join our busy and rewarding program to care for neurovascular patients.
Position Details Include:- Work with stroke and neurointerventional radiology patients
- Primarily outpatient/clinic-based position with some inpatient clinical work for neurointerventional radiology and medical stroke patients (hospital discharge)
- Responsible for evaluating outpatients with TIA, ischemic and hemorrhagic strokes, in collaboration with the neurovascular physician team.
- Responsible for follow up on patients' status post endovascular cerebral procedures, both in the hospital and in the stroke clinic, in collaboration with the neurovascular physician team.
- Provides continuity of patient care by facilitating and coordinating communication between the health care team, the patient, and the patient's families
- Develop and implement patient care plans, including discharge planning and coordination of care with other health care providers.
- Work hours flexible to be either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week. No night call or weekend/holiday hours
- Opportunity for faculty appointment available through the Carle Illinois College of Medicine for candidates with a strong academic interest
- Nationally recognized for stroke care, Carle Foundation Hospital is the only certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in a Level I Trauma Center in East Central Illinois

Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant.
Candidates must have at least 3 years of clinical APP experience.
At least 1 year of clinical experience working with the stroke patient population (as APP, stroke navigator/coordinator, or RN) preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:Current Illinois registered nurse license and advanced practice nurse/physician assistant licensure.
Compensation and BenefitsThe compensation range for this position is $59.38 - 77.20/hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
