Certification Details
- Staff Registered Nurse (RN) responsible for patient care in the OR setting.
- Performs duties specific to the scope of service in the OR.
- Maintains accurate documentation of nursing care.
- Completes initial patient assessments and develops plans of care.
- Implements and modifies plans of care based on evaluation.
- Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting hazards.
- Communicates effectively with team members.
- Provides professional development feedback to peers.
- Prepares OR suite with necessary supplies, equipment, and medications.
- Interviews patients using two identifiers.
- Transports and positions patients safely for procedures.
- Supports surgical team during procedures.
- Transports patients to PACU or specific units and provides handoff.
- Position is specifically for Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
Job Details
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required.
- CVOR experience required.
- Trauma 1 experience highly preferred.
- Candidate must be comfortable being floated to General OR.
- Required education: ASN.
- Preferred education:
BSN. - Required licensure:
Illinois state RN License in good standing.
Job Requirements
- Day shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
- Hours per day: 10.
- Hours per week: 40.
- On call rotation.
- Day off to be determined.
Schedule Information
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) unit.
- May be floated to General OR.
- Trauma 1 experience preferred.
