Overview
Medical Solutions is seeking a travel nurse RN ED
- Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Urbana, Illinois.
- The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process, nursing trends, technology, and resources within the philosophy of the institution.
- Performs all responsibilities and duties required by the unit as specific to the scope of service.
- Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
- Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the healthcare team.
- Completes initial assessment upon patient admission and develops an appropriate plan of care in accordance with unit standards and patient and family needs.
- Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures; modifies plan of care based on evaluation.
- Ensures patient and employee safety by reporting and/or correcting hazards and incidents.
- Communicates effectively with others to resolve issues; provides constructive feedback for peer development and collaborates with colleagues to expand knowledge.
- Identifies own learning needs and initiates appropriate solutions.
- Fulfills all departmental competencies.
- Department-specific functions in ED nursing include patient assessment, care planning with providers and family, execution of care plans, continuous assessment, and safety-focused nursing interventions.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records/documentation and promotes a collaborative, healthy work environment.
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- Education:
ASN required; BSN preferred. - Licensure and
Certifications:- Illinois state RN License in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association)
- Languages:
English read, write, speak.
