American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring IL RN licensure, EPIC experience, and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- 13-week contract assignment
- Night shift: 7:00PM-7:30AM
- 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly
- No block scheduling
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period
- Call shifts are 13 hours with expectation of onsite arrival within one hour
- Uses EPIC EMR system
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Trauma Level 2 or higher experience preferred
- BLS certification (AHA) required
- ACLS certification (AHA) required
- PALS certification (AHA) required
- TNCC certification highly preferred
- Serve as primary caregiver for a designated group of ED patients, utilizing the nursing process to guide care
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers, patients, and families
- Implement and modify care plans based on continuous patient assessment and evolving needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
- Promote patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families to foster a healing environment
- Provide peer feedback and support ongoing professional development within the nursing team
- This is a high-risk department assignment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days during the 13-week contract
