American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Trauma Level 2 experience, EPIC proficiency, and IL RN licensure.
Details- Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule from 3:00PM-3:00AM
- 36 hours per week over 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with 13-hour call shifts and expectation to be onsite within one hour
- 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
- No block scheduling available
- Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
- Uses EPIC EMR for charting
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- TNCC highly preferred
- Trauma Level 2 experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Serve as the primary RN for a designated group of ED patients, applying the nursing process to deliver individualized care
- Complete patient assessments, develop care plans, and modify interventions based on continuous evaluation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support seamless communication across the healthcare team
- Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to promote a safe and healing care environment
- Identify and report safety hazards, contributing to a culture of patient and staff safety
- Provide peer feedback and engage in ongoing professional development
- This is classified as a high-risk department assignment
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
