American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Trauma Level 2 experience, EPIC proficiency, and IL RN licensure.

• Work in a hospital Emergency Department setting
• Night shift schedule from 3:00PM-3:00AM
• 36 hours per week over 3 shifts of 12 hours each
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with 13-hour call shifts and expectation to be onsite within one hour
• 2-week nights rotation required of all travelers
• No block scheduling available
• Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
• Uses EPIC EMR for charting

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• TNCC highly preferred
• Trauma Level 2 experience required
• EPIC charting experience required

• Serve as the primary RN for a designated group of ED patients, applying the nursing process to deliver individualized care
• Complete patient assessments, develop care plans, and modify interventions based on continuous evaluation
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation to support seamless communication across the healthcare team
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to promote a safe and healing care environment
• Identify and report safety hazards, contributing to a culture of patient and staff safety
• Provide peer feedback and engage in ongoing professional development
• This is classified as a high-risk department assignment
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
