American Traveler is hiring a NICU RN for a night shift position requiring an active IL RN license, NRP certification, and Level 1 Trauma or Epic charting experience.
Details- Work in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
- No on-call requirements
- 5 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
- Every other holiday coverage required
- Uses Epic EMR charting system
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Current NRP certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of one year of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Skilled in documentation, breastfeeding support, multidisciplinary communication, and medication administration
- Monitor intake and output for assigned neonatal patients
- Assist mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
- Administer medications using proper barcode scanning procedures
- Report on patient assignments during multidisciplinary rounds
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
