American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 2 trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details- Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule from 3:00PM-3:00AM
- 36 hours per week across 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- 13-week assignment length
- Every other weekend (EOW) required
- Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
- 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, with call shifts lasting 13 hours and onsite response expected within one hour
- 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers
- No block scheduling available
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (all American Heart Association)
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Trauma Level 2 experience required
- TNCC certification highly preferred
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Provide direct patient care to ED patients including assessment, care planning, and implementation of nursing interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation to support care coordination among the healthcare team
- Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
- Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
- Communicate effectively with colleagues to support a healthy working environment and professional development
- This is a high-risk department assignment
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
