• Pay Rate:
  Up to $63/hr combined (taxable hourly + tax-free allowances for travel, housing, meals). Rates may vary and are subject to change.

Observation Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

Provides acute, short-term care to patients with a typical stay of 24-48 hours, often for conditions such as cardiac issues, general surgery or behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess IV sites every 4 hours.
• Must maintain documentation standards as evidenced passed by quarterly chart audits.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status.
• Identify change in patient status and respond appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments, observing for reactions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and collaborate with physicians and care teams.
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
• Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in life-saving procedures as needed.

Requirements:

• RN license in state of assignment.
• BLS (AHA) required.
• Trauma 1 and EPIC experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.
• Strong clinical, assessment, and communication skills.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting patients/equipment, and stress management.
