American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic experience.

• Float pool position within a hospital setting, floating to inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs as applicable
• Day shift schedule, 7:00AM - 7:30PM
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 13-week assignment length
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekend requirement of 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in safety reporting, multidisciplinary collaboration, and precepting

• Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations
• Complete initial patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and continuously evaluate and modify care based on patient needs
• Take responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting hazards and incidents
• Precept staff from various units as needed
• Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Candidates must not have been on assignment with this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
