American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Trauma Level 2 experience and EPIC proficiency.

• Emergency Department setting within a Trauma Level 2 facility
• Night shift schedule from 3:00PM to 3:00AM, 3 days per week for 36 hours
• Requires a 2-week nights rotation for all travelers with no block scheduling
• 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule period, each 13 hours, with expectation to be onsite within an hour if called
• Every other weekend (EOW) shift requirement
• Holiday coverage required on a rotation basis
• Uses EPIC EMR system

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification from American Heart Association
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• TNCC highly preferred
• Trauma Level 2 experience required
• EPIC charting experience required

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to ED patients including assessment, care planning, and intervention
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to develop and modify individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Contribute to a safe and healthy work environment through hazard reporting and safety adherence
• Support peer development through constructive feedback and collaboration
• Classified as a high-risk department assignment
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Requested time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
