American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience, Epic charting, and ACLS/PALS certification.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- 13-week assignment with a 36 hour work week
- Evening shift schedule from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, 3 shifts per week
- 2-week night shift rotation required for all travelers
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- 2 call shifts required per 6-week schedule, each 13 hours with a one-hour onsite response expectation
- No block scheduling available
- Epic EMR charting experience required
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Strong documentation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and families
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation
- Promote a safe environment for patients and staff by identifying and reporting hazards
- Collaborate with team members to support a healing and professional work environment
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
- Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if previously on assignment for more than 1 year
