American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac/Pulmonary Med-Surg RN for a night shift role requiring Cardiac/Tele, Level 1 Trauma, and Epic experience.

• Cardiac/Pulmonary Medical-Surgical unit within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• Manages acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients
• Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
• No on-call requirements
• 6 weekend shifts within a six-week schedule
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating to similar units required
• Uses Epic EMR for documentation

• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
• Cardiac/Telemetry experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred

• Manage care of acute and chronically ill cardiac and pulmonary patients including assessment, care planning, and intervention
• Perform medication administration, IV venipuncture, blood administration, and pain management
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor lab results
• Ensure basic patient care such as turning and toileting per standards of care
• Participate in team huddles and delegate tasks with appropriate follow-up
• Provide discharge instructions for safe patient transition from the hospital
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, no local candidates accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment beyond 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
