Position Overview:
The role involves providing specialized nursing care on a 50-bed Cardio/Pulmonary/Med/Surg unit, primarily serving adult cardiac, pulmonary, and medical-surgical patients with complex needs. The nurse will perform assessments, develop and modify care plans, administer medications, manage cardiac devices, and prepare patients for procedures.
Responsibilities Include- Implementing and documenting patient care according to unit standards.
- Ensuring patient and staff safety by reporting hazards.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals.
- Providing patient education and discharge instructions.
- Delegating tasks appropriately and managing patient comfort and safety.
- Participating in team huddles and conflict resolution.
- Current RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year preferred.
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Nursing.
- Proficiency in assessments, cardiac management, medication administration, and use of medical equipment.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and professional development mindset.
