American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a night shift role requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Requirements- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Float pool position covering various Med/Surg units as needed, including Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units where applicable
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
- No on-call requirements
- Uses Epic EMR system
- Provides direct patient care across multiple inpatient units, completing assessments, care plans, and nursing interventions
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality patient care
- May precept staff from various units as needed
- Responsible for patient and staff safety reporting and hazard correction
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Prior contingent workers may not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment without a required 6-month break in service before returning
