Travel RN - ICU - Coronary Care Unit​/CCU

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU) position requiring critical care skills and Illinois RN licensure.

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Work in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of a hospital environment
• Night shift schedule, , 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly
• 13-week contract assignment
• Weekend rotation of 5 shifts within a 6-week period
• EO holiday coverage requirement
• Utilizes specialized equipment including cardiac monitors, respirators, ventilators, and oxygen pumps
• Monitors intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, and cardiac rhythms
• Cares for ventilated patients with a focus on early mobility
• Epic charting system used
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to CCU patients including assessment, care planning, and implementation of interventions
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on nursing standards and protocols
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes
• Utilize meaningful hourly rounding, bedside reporting, and whiteboards for patient/family communication
• Contribute to the professional development of peers
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service
