Job Summary:
The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients within a designated time frame. Care is provided using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources, aligned with the institution's philosophy. The RN ensures accurate documentation, develops and implements care plans, modifies care based on evaluations, and prioritizes patient and employee safety. Collaboration with colleagues and continuous professional development are integral to the role.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum one (1) year of relevant nursing experience.
• ASN degree.
• Illinois state RN License in good standing.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).

Preferred Qualifications:

• BSN degree.

Additional Information:

• Assess ortho and medical/surgical patients every shift.
• Educate patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, and care transition needs.
• Coordinate with physician and surgeon partners for patient care.
• Delegate and monitor interventions of HCT staff.
• Set up ortho traction and manipulate surgical traction devices.
• Manage wound appliances such as wound vacs, drains, pouches, and urological devices.
