American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit requiring an active IL RN license and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.

• Cardiovascular Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
• Cares for post-op day one CABG, thoracotomy, and vascular surgery patients
• Night shift schedule with 3 x 12-hour shifts )
• 36 hours per week over 3 days
• 5-6 weekend shifts required
• Holiday coverage based on department rotation
• Uses EPIC charting system

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Provide direct patient care including initial assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of CVMS patients
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain a clean, organized work environment
• Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members and offer peer feedback for professional development
• Report or correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
• First-time travelers may be considered
