American Traveler is hiring a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring Illinois RN licensure, Epic charting experience, and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.

• Emergency Department setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00PM-7:30AM, 3 days per week (36 hours)
• No block scheduling permitted
• Every other weekend required
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, with expectation to be onsite within an hour of being called
• No floating requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association)
• Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required; BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and modify care based on ongoing evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient care
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to promote a healing environment
• Offer constructive feedback to peers and participate in professional development
• Uphold staff and patient safety standards, reporting and correcting hazards as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate; local candidates not accepted
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
