American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details- Hospital-based Emergency Department setting at a Level 1 Trauma facility
- Evening shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM
- 3 12-hour shifts per week totaling 36 hours
- 2-week night shift rotation per contract with no block scheduling
- 1 call shift required per 6-week schedule
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- Floating required to other units as needed
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from American Heart Association
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Serve as primary caregiver managing a designated group of ED patients throughout each shift
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and families
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation and records
- Uphold patient and staff safety standards, reporting and correcting hazards as needed
- Provide peer feedback and engage in ongoing professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Workers may not remain continuously on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
