American Traveler is hiring an experienced ED RN for a Level 1 Trauma emergency department, requiring an active IL RN license and Epic charting experience.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a Level 1 Trauma hospital
- 12-hour night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week over 3 days
- 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule period, requiring onsite arrival within one hour of call
- No block scheduling available
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- No floating required
- Uses Epic EMR for charting
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma center experience required
- Provides direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department setting
- Performs patient assessments, develops and modifies plans of care, and implements nursing interventions in collaboration with providers and families
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
- Reports and corrects safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
- Collaborates with peers to support professional development and knowledge sharing
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Prior contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service if they were on assignment at this health system for more than 1 year
