American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring IL licensure and prior ED nursing experience.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
- Evening shift schedule from 1:00PM-1:00AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 2-week night shift rotation included per contract, with no block scheduling
- On-call requirement of 1 call shift per 6-week schedule
- Every other weekend rotation required
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- Floating required to other units as needed
- Uses Epic for charting and documentation
- Active IL RN license in good standing
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (AHA)
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting classified as high risk
- Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with providers and families
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on ongoing patient evaluation
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient documentation and records
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, and families to promote a healing environment
- Support professional development through peer feedback and collaboration
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Prior Carle Health contingent workers must complete a 6-month break in service after 1 year before returning to any Carle Health location
