American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a night shift position requiring active IL RN licensure and ACLS/PALS certification.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment
- Level 1 Trauma Center environment
- Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:30AM
- 36 hours per week, 3 shifts of 12 hours each
- Weekend shifts as needed
- Holiday shifts as needed
- Floating required as needed
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
- Emergency Department nursing experience required
- Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Provide direct patient care utilizing the nursing process for a designated group of ED patients
- Perform initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and families
- Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors
- Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for consideration
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not be on assignment for more than 1 year continuously; a 6-month break in service is required before returning
