Job Summary: The staff Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver responsible for providing care to a designated group of patients using the nursing process, current trends, technology, and available resources within the institution's philosophy. The RN ensures patient and employee safety, maintains accurate documentation, and collaborates with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality care.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience.
- ASN degree.
- Illinois state RN License in good standing.
- BLS certification (American Heart Association).
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association).
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN degree.
Additional Information:
- Monitors EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity.
- Ensures effective communication with patients and families through hourly rounding, bedside shift reports, and whiteboards.
- Collaborates with critical care teams and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients.
