American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details- Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department setting
- 13-week contract, 36 hours per week, 3x12-hour day shifts (7:00AM-7:30PM)
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- 2 call shifts per 6-week schedule, each 13 hours, with expectation to be onsite within one hour of call
- 2-week nights rotation required for all travelers
- No block scheduling available
- Uses Epic charting system
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Emergency Department environment
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and modify care based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
- Collaborate with providers, patients, families, and staff to promote a safe and healing environment
- Identify and report safety hazards to ensure patient and staff safety
- Offer constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Returning workers must take a 6-month break in service after completing 1 year at this health system
