American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN with an active IL RN license and Level 1 Trauma experience for a 13-week evening shift contract.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a hospital
- 12-hour evening shifts scheduled from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM
- 36 hours per week across 3 days
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- Uses EPIC charting system
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Assumes responsibility for a designated group of ED patients utilizing the nursing process and available resources
- Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care in collaboration with providers and families
- Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided
- Promotes patient and staff safety by identifying, correcting, and reporting hazards
- Collaborates with staff, patients, and families to support a healthy and healing environment
- Offers constructive feedback to peers to support professional development
- This is a designated high-risk department assignment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days within the 13-week contract
- Candidates may not have been continuously employed at this health system for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service
