American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring EPIC charting proficiency and at least three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details- Hospital-based Emergency Department setting
- Night shift schedule: 3:00PM-3:00AM, 3 shifts per week (36 hours)
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
- EPIC charting system experience required
- Trauma level 2 or higher experience preferred
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant nursing experience
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (American Heart Association)
- TNCC certification highly preferred
- EPIC charting experience required
- Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department environment
- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and modify care based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care
- Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to deliver safe, effective care
- Support a healthy work environment through communication and peer mentorship
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Previous contingent workers may not have worked continuously at this health system for more than 1 year without a required 6-month break in service
