American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 Trauma experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a hospital
- Day shift schedule from 7:00AM-7:30PM with 3 12-hour shifts per week
- 2-week night shift rotation required per contract with no block scheduling
- 1 call shift per 6-week schedule
- Works every other weekend
- Holiday coverage on a rotating basis
- Floating required
- 36 hours per week
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association required
- Minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- Functions as a professional caregiver responsible for a group of patients, applying the nursing process and evidence-based practice standards
- Performs patient assessments, develops individualized care plans, and modifies care based on ongoing evaluation
- Collaborates with providers, patients, and families to implement and adjust care plans
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of nursing care
- Promotes patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards
- Communicates and collaborates effectively with staff, visitors, and families to support a healthy work environment
- Provides feedback to peers to support professional growth and problem-solving
- Classified as a high-risk department assignment
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted
- RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Contingent workers may not remain on assignment for more than 1 year without a 6-month break in service before returning
