American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring Level 1 trauma and Epic charting experience.

• Emergency Department setting within a hospital
• Day shift schedule from 7:00AM-7:00PM with 3 12-hour shifts per week
• Includes a 2-week night shift rotation per contract with no block scheduling
• On-call requirement of 1 call shift per 6 week schedule
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotational basis
• Floating required
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Epic charting experience required

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Complete patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Implement and modify nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation
• Collaborate with providers, patients, and families to support care planning
• Contribute to a safe environment by identifying and reporting hazards
• Support peer development through constructive feedback and collaboration
• This is a designated high-risk department assignment
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Contingent workers may not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment at this health system without a 6-month break in service
