American Traveler is hiring an experienced NICU RN for a night shift hospital position requiring IL RN licensure and NRP certification.

• Work in the NICU unit of a hospital setting
• Neonatal patient population with assignment-based patient monitoring
• Night shift, 3x12 schedule from 7:00p to 7:30a
• 36 hours per week over 3 days
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage on a rotation basis
• Floating required

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Current BLS (AHA) and NRP (AHA) certifications required
• Minimum 2-3 years of relevant nursing experience
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

• Monitor intake and output for assigned neonatal patients
• Assist mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care practices
• Administer medications using proper bar code scanning protocols
• Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds and report on patient assignments
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and develop individualized care plans
• Contribute to professional development of peers and maintain unit competencies
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
